Arusdaerahnews.com - Ilaga Puncak, MediaHabema – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Saturday, 12 October 2024, the residents of Kago Village, Ilaga District, with the Soldiers of the 323 Task Forces, engaged in social community services. These services aim to implement Social Communication (Komsos) activities with community figures in the Kago Village to execute some social community service activities. This implementation of social community services commemorates the 79th anniversary of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI).
Underlining the Soldiers' role, the Commander of the 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, underscored the importance of the Task Forces’ focus on the community's fundamental needs around the Post. Therefore, the Soldiers of Gome Post, led by First Lieutenant Galang, conducted Social Communication with Community Figures of the Kago Village about the plan for social community service activities. After discussion, they agreed that the activities would be on Saturday (12/10).
As preparations began, a palpable sense of unity and shared responsibility filled the air. The active participation of Kago community members was a testament to their enthusiasm and engagement. The social community service activities covered health services and distributing free clothes. After the activity, Mr. Theis Wonda, one of the Community Figures, said, "Thank you, Commander 323. The Kago community embraced the social community service activities to commemorate the TNI anniversary. God bless". This sense of unity and shared responsibility, coupled with the community's enthusiasm and engagement, makes everyone, from the Task Forces to the Kago community, feel included and part of the collective effort.
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 323 Task Forces’ initiative to conduct social community service activities with Kago residents. His words: 'The 323 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive Social Communication to support accelerating development in the Papua region." This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development.
